Abstract (EN)
Transitions between sects have always taken place in Muslim society; There were people who accepted Shiism when they were Sunni or Sunni when they were Ehl-i hadith, Shiite when they were Mutazila. In the geography we live in after the Iranian Revolution, there are some people who are inclined to Shiism and even explain that they are Shia. It is desirable to understand the reasons for these preferences of those who were born in a Sunni environment and were brought up in a family that belonged to this understanding, but who converted to Caferism or Imamiyya sect. This study focuses on the reasons of transition of people who have converted to Caferism from Ahl al-Sunnah. The aim of the research is to reveal the reasons why they left this sect and preferred Caferism while they were Sunni, and furthermore, how well they know the Caferism they accepted and to try to find out the related assessment. Qualitative research methods were used in the study, and interview and literature review were used. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, general information about Caferism in terms of belief and worship is given. In the second part, examples and reasons for the orientation towards Caferism in history are emphasized. In the third and last part, interview data were evaluated. The study is concluded with the conclusion section.
