Abstract (EN)

Although the history of the Republic of Turkey's relations with the Republic of Djibouti dates back to the Ottoman Empire, the beginning of bilateral relations dates back to the Republic of Turkey's recognition of the Republic of Djibouti after it declared independence from France in 1977. The establishment of diplomatic relations began thirty-five years after the Republic of Djibouti gained independence, namely when the Republic of Djibouti opened an embassy in Ankara in 2012 and the Republic of Turkey opened an embassy in Djibouti in 2013. The real momentum in bilateral relations has also occurred since this date within the framework of the Republic of Turkey's African opening policy. In this context, the aim of the thesis is to examine the political, economic, military, health and educational relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Djibouti and to determine the level of these relations. Within this framework, the examination of the developments that have occurred since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Djibouti and also the determination of the importance of this state for the Republic of Turkey due to its influence in the Republic of Djibouti constitute the scope of this thesis. Especially in the last decade, the development of bilateral relations has accelerated and turned towards cooperation. In this context, the inference from the development of bilateral relations is the cooperation that has formed between these two states.
