Evaluating the performances of the individual retirement funds in Turkey

It seems that in many developed and even in some developing countries,individual retirement funds, because of their institutional investor characteristics andbeing big institutions suplying fund in long due date to the markets they have greatimportance, with these qualities individual retirement funds are aspected as the tool ofabolishing the possible negativenesses in social security sistems.n a country, achievement of a social security reform concerning the formationof individual retirement funds, depends on; to secure economic and political stability,agreement of social sides on the minimum elements of system, putting taxencouragements, doing enough lawful arrangements, forming the institutions securingthe safety of system.This text has three parts and in the first part, dealt with generally in socialsecurity system, then comprising of individual retirement system and its goal, the rejimeof taxation and its control, by mentioning its structure of process, individual retirementfund types and their application in the country.n the second part, by focusing on the risk and benefit concepts related withretirement funds, mathematical portfolio, preference models and assessment technics ofperformence of individual retirement funds have been mentianed.n the third part that is the last one, from the performance assessment methods ofSharpe Ratio (Rate), Modigliani Criteria, Treynor Criteria and Jensen Criteria thoseexplained in the second part and applying of the retirement companies existing in ourcountry to the individual retirement funds, and these retirement funds with concretenumbers have been tried to be evaluated.
