Abstract (EN)
In this study, speech and language therapists in Turkey (SLP) to cleft lip and palate (CLP) were examined for levels of self-efficacy. Within the scope of this review, the research was conducted with sequential explanatory design which is one of the mixed research methods. In the first phase of the research, data were collected from 184 SPL via questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS v25. Descriptive statistical analysis, independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in the analysis of quantitative data. In the second phase of the study, semi-structured interview were held with 3 SPL, who are experienced, limited experienced and no experience. The qualitative data obtained from the interviews were analyzed descriptively. Both qualitative and quantitative findings show that self-efficacy levels of SPL's in Turkey for CLP varies according to level of education, experience, work environment, clinical practice during their university education, participation in any training/ seminar/conference related to CLP after graduation and case load. In addition to these, personal factors and interdisciplinary cooperation also effect SPL's self-efficacy levels of SPL's in Turkey for CLP. Keywords: Speech and language therapist, Cleft lip and palate, Self efficacy.
