Abstract (EN)

Turkey remains the world's active seismic zone. Periodically, severe and devastating earthquakes have occurred all over our country. In the construction designs to be made, designs should be made by calculating the effects of the earthquake caused by the static effects as well as the destructive dynamic effects. One of the building designs that should be examined considering the earthquake effect is retaining structures. Retaining structures; preventing the risk of collapse arising from the level difference; They are generally structures built to keep the ground in the desired position. Retaining structures are available in different shapes and types according to their intended use. In addition to the forces caused by static effects, additional dynamic loads due to earthquakes also affect the retaining structures. Since our country is located in an active earthquake zone, it is important to calculate additional dynamic loads on retaining structures. Many researches and studies have been conducted over the years to calculate static and dynamic effects. In this study, examples of retaining structures, methods and regulations used are tried to be explained. The methods and regulations applied to the buildings to be built under the effect of earthquakes in our country and in the world have changed over time. The Regulation on Buildings to be Constructed in Earthquake Zones (DBYBHY) (2007) used the same calculation method all over the country according to the importance of ground effects. Turkey Earthquake Building Regulations (TBDY) (2018) the effective ground acceleration (Ao) group has started to be accountable to different floors in different locations and values. This thesis proposes four different provinces 3 dynamic influences acting on the bearing structure of the different soil classes in different locations Turkey Building Earthquake Regulation (TBDY) (2018) to be Built in Seismic Zone Building Regulation on (DBYBHY) (2007) by creating models in comparison with different internal friction angle (ϕ) analyzes were made by creating a model. With the changing dynamic loads, the safety of the current state of the bearing structures against overturning and translation has been tried to be determined
