Abstract (EN)

Foreign trade activities are great importance for both countries and companies in the globalized economy as a result of technological developments. Companies must also adapt to these developments in the internet and technology. It is an undeniable fact that companies that want to be successful in foreign trade should benefit from the internet in their foreign trade activities in the most effective way in today's business environment. The main purpose of the research is to measure the internet usage of companies in their domestic corporate operations and foreign trade activities for export-oriented e-commerce applications and to reveal whether they differ in terms of some descriptive features. In this research it has been tried to determine to what extent companies use the internet in their domestic commercial activities and foreign trade activities, in which sector and for how many years the companies have been operating, with which country groups they export and import the most; whether internet usage changes due to such factors. As a result of the research, it is observed that companies' level of both domestic corporate and foreign trade internet usage is high. However, it has been determined that the usage of internet differs according to the descriptive characteristics of the companies. It has been determined that companies, which have been operating for 11-15 years, have lower levels of using internet effectively. Keywords: Internet, e-commerce, export, e-export, international competitiveness
