Abstract (EN)

This research, the definitions that determine financial literacy and our macroeconomic variables have addressed the Turkish economy in order to measure the relationship between financial literacy. Nowadays, economic actors have to behave consciously both in daily life and when making decisions for the future. As a result of the research, it is possible to transform the budget into an investment with the right expenditures so that the person can continue to live. Economic actors need to increase financial products and services in order to finance themselves and manage a financial crisis. In this way, a more conscious society and a brighter generation for the future will be raised by adapting to changes faster. This situation occurs with the level of financial literacy. Some researchers working on financial literacy have claimed that they are related to being a good financial literate by addressing financial attitude, financial behaviour, financial responsibility, financial competence and financial awareness, which are indicators of financial literacy. It is alleged that providing basic financial education to all economic actors with a view to increasing the level of financial literacy will increase the financial literacy level of the society. In this case, it has been observed that it can contribute to economic growth and development. Consequently, the level of financial knowledge of people will support their economic growth.Financial Depth Index (Deep Index) dependent, Private Sector Loans/GDP (RKREDI), and M3/ GDP independent variables were used in the thesis that we examined on the Turkish economy, which are the main determinants of financial literacy and its relationship with financial depth. The series used in the thesis include annual data from 2002 to 2021. A unit root test was performed to test the suitability of the time series used in the first stage of the cointegration analysis. Phillips-Perron (PP) unit root test, one of the unit root tests, was applied. The analysis of variables determined in the study was analyzed with the ARDL limit test approach.
