Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, by using multi-criteria decision making methods, location decision has been made for waste electrical and electronic equipment recycling plant. First of all, some general information about waste electrical and electronic equipment has been given in the text. Amount of waste and estimated amounts for next years has given and situation in our country has been identified. Substances in waste electrical and electronic equipments and their toxic risks have been mentioned and the necessity of recycling and controlled disposal has been stated. Furthermore, for an effective system management, RoHs Directive, which is currently in force, and draft of WEEE Directive has been mentioned. Lastly, characteristics of WEEE recycling plant have been mentioned and criteria for location decision of the plant have been chosen. For location decision, AHP, ANP, ELECTRE and PROMETHEE are used and the most appropriate alternatives are determined for Turkey. Accordingly, İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir have been stated as best alternatives.
