Abstract (EN)
Youth unemployment emerges as an important social and economic problem both in European Union (EU) countries and in Turkey. In countries around the world, due importance is given to the implementation of active employment policies in various sectors, including education, economy and technology, to solve the problem of youth unemployment. Germany's vocational and technical education programs can be cited as a special example of these policies. These programs serve as a multifaceted policy tool aimed at increasing the employability of young individuals, providing them with valuable work experience, and equipping them to meet the demands of the workforce. In addition to active employment policies, there are suggestions for restructuring national education systems and policies in line with the needs of the labor market. The implementation of active employment policies and education policies in general plays an important role in the global fight against youth unemployment. International organizations such as the EU and the UN actively carry out programs and initiatives such as the "Youth Employment Network" and the "Youth Guarantee Programme" in order to guide member countries in developing effective strategies and actions to combat youth unemployment. The main purpose of this study is to consider the examples of countries that are successful in the EU countries in solving the youth unemployment problem in Turkey and evaluate them as a model for Turkey. For this purpose, the policies implemented in the fight against youth unemployment in Türkiye and EU countries are comparatively analyzed by creating graphs. In particular, the possible effects of using the policies implemented in Germany to combat unemployment and youth unemployment as a model for Turkey are analyzed and suggestions are made for Turkey. In the research, unemployment and youth unemployment figures in Türkiye and EU countries in the last ten years were examined.
