The competition pover analyse of Turkey's clothing and confection sector againts The Far East Countries

Clothing and confection sector is the one where the competition is densely seen in the world trade. This section has an important role on the progrress of the developing countries. Today, while the share of the developed countries in clothing and confection sector which is very high is decreasing day by day, the share of the developing countries is increasing. Clothing and confection sector has still the characteristic of being the leader sector on Turkey economy. While the sector which is continiously growing has to compete with The Far East Countries in the subject of cost and price, on the other hand it has to compete with the European Union Countries in the subjects of quality and design. The Far East Countries which shows similarities to Turkey especialy in the subject of process of progressing are the rivals of Turkey's clothing and confection sector. The density of ready-made clothing is in these countries; because of having the richness of factors such as labour, capital used in production process, production area, environmental, political and legal freedoms and also inexpensives, utility and productivity, hi 2005, with the removal of the quotas, The Far East Countries, especially China which is a member of World Trade Organization will be a very big danger to Turkey. In this work, the elements that affect the competition power of Turkey's clothing and confection are analysed. The importance levels of these elements on Turkey's clothing and confection is tried to be pointed out. If Turkey's clothing and confection develops correct strategies with taking the fashion, brand and quality into front side, it has the compete power with either The Far East or other clothing and confection countries.
