Abstract (EN)

Civil Aviation activities have shown an important development during the recent years as it provides rapid, comfortable and safe transportation. Air Navigation Services (ANS) that stay at the centre of the civil aviation activities, also, took its share from this development. Thus, air traffic has achieved significant growth during the recent years and this growth is expected to continue in the coming years. Evolution and development are essential to ensure that, the expected increase is sustainable and the safety level is maintained. Many states around the world have identified road maps for establishment of the future of Communication Navigation Surveillance / Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) architecture. Turkey, with its location and developing aviation structure, is one of the countries with the highest traffic increase in the world. However, Turkey does not have a tangible and transparent road map for the future. In this study, current situation of CNS/ATM in Turkey and expectations for the future have been explained, CNS/ATM or ANS master plan examples implemented in the world have been analysed and a Master Plan proposal for Turkey has been developed.
