Analysis of Turkish manifacturing industry by sectors _with imput-output approach_

Input-output analysis, are the one of the most trustable instruments for searching the structure of economy. By using input- output tables, the national economy can be searched in many ways. How the national economy can be figured in the future, and the relations between the industries can be seen by looking at the input- output tables. Also the crises which the national ecenomy can be faced and the ways of solitions can be seen by input- output tables. First of all in the first chapter starting from the historical background we have defined the peculiarities of input-output analysis. To Prepare the input- output tables for every year is very difficult and it takes too much time. For these reasons tables are not preparing for every year. Some methods and techniques are using to quess the input-output tables for the target year. The most popular method is RAS. In this study we have been used the RAS method to quess the table of 1995 and the table of 2000. After these operations the chances in the economic structure of the Turkish economy from 1990 to 1995 has been evaluated..In the devolopment strategies, to reach the purpose and the goal, what kind of information and criterion are chosen for the sectorial decisions. These answers are given for the questions bring us to the consept of leading sectors. For the year of 1995, in the fifth parth of the study, the leading sectors are found for the Turkish economy. Also the leading sectors are quested for the year of2000. How the final demand, export, import and tecnologial changes effected the incrase of the production. These effects for the increasion are the subject of the sixth parth of study.154 In the final parth of the study, the input- output analysis which is applied for the Turkish economy is applied for the region of Ege. The leading sectors in this region of Ege has also been found.
