Abstract (EN)

Going through the history of industrial relations it can be seen that the balance between the sides, which we may call labour peace, needed too much struggle and concessions to develop. Nowadays conditions has changed and been pushing the sides to come up with new policies and strategies. In this context Unions have put their members in trainings in order to get them to adapt the idea of organization and to protect the organizational identities. In addition to the trainings which are done to sustain the union movement and organizational culture some other trainings to help members progress in different areas catch the attention. One of these trainings is given under the project of labour health and safety enhancement by Harb-İş Union and this training is setting an example. The is biggest aspect of this training is that the Union whose initial task is to protect its members rights and benefits also shows the its sensitivity for the members by having a say in the matters that are in employers responsibilities.A training of this sort is maintaining a common ground for all major parties in labour world like state, employers and employees and serving for all sides' benefits. This study done in line with above mentioned purposes covers a conceptual framework in the first chapter, the history of unionism in the second chapter, a general look into the occupational health and safety in the third chapter and an evaluation of survey results in the fourth chapter. Keywords: Union, LabourHealthAndSafety, OccupationalHealthandSafetyCultureTrainings
