Women entrepreneurship in turkey, process and impact on employment (Example of Elâzığ province)

The key cycle of dynamics in the economy is entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge, skills and initiative to bring new ideas, business areas to market. In fact, every entrepreneur, woman or man, who pays taxes in terms of their contribution to national income, employs workers or works on their own behalf, is the added value created by the effect of a multiplier of the geography, city or country they live in. Moreover, the determination of the problems experienced by women entrepreneurs in Turkey and regional field studies that shed light on the solution of these problems are effective in the success of the targets and projects in this field. At the same time, when the figures of recent women's employment and women's unemployment in Turkey are examined, it is seen that they are below international standards and are on average in the European Union country rankings. Gender underlying this situation and the barriers to accessing resources emphasize that the incentives and projects implemented should be implemented with more accessible and conscious steps. In addition, the patriarchal role of women and the gendering of professions and the abstention of women's employment are also issues to be noted. The aim of this study is to interpret the effect of the social and economic capital created by women who participate in economic life as entrepreneurs, on the economy of their geography in terms of employment and unemployment, by supporting them with questions based on mutual interviews. In the light of this information, this study has tried to measure how effective women's entrepreneurship is in practice on a regional basis, rather than conceptual information.
