Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was tried to evaluate the effects of in-service training on employees. In this respect, previous studies on in-service training have been examined and the results of the research have been analyzed. In Uludag Customs and Trade Regional Directorate and Connected Customs Directorates, the results obtained by the questionnaire survey to assess the perception of the in-service trainers that institution personnel had received were examined. The objective of the thesis is to develop a system that aims to improve the quality and performance and to contribute to the productivity by providing the knowledge and skills in the professional sense required by the job that is working through the in-service training which is one of the most effective training methods in order to facilitate the adaptation process of the employees in our developing and changing age work quality. From this point of view, the researchers were asked to think about the in-service trainings they had taken with the questionnaire survey of the employees of the related institutions that constituted the working group. In the first part of this questionnaire which consists of two sections, personal information is included; questions about the satisfaction of the in-service trainings taken in comparison with the service period, the service class, the previous institution in which the employees of the institution were working. In the second part, a questionnaire study was conducted with a five-point Likert Type scale within the scope and purpose of in-service training, training environment and transportation, training process, in-service training personnel and a general evaluation. Data obtained from this study were analyzed by subjecting Frequency Analysis, t-Test Analysis, Variance Analysis, Cross Table Analysis. According to the findings obtained from the research; there was no significant difference in the assessment of perceptions of in-service trained employees compared to the variables of gender, marital status, working in another institution, working in the private sector or public sector (p>0.05). It was found that there was a significant difference between the ineffective and inadequate in-service training activities (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the education status, service duration and service class variables in evaluating perception of in-service training employees (p> 0.05). It is hoped that the results obtained from the research will provide informative information on how to be more appropriate for the purpose of in-service training and how to be more effective on the staff. As a result of the findings obtained from the research, inferences were made about what could be done for the ideal in-service training activities. In the light of the data obtained from this study, suggestions for increasing the quality of in-service education were put forward.
