Abstract (EN)
Caricature creation in our country has been carried on by extending its means of published media till our era since first cartoon was published in 1870. The people has been attracted to the way caricatures can express and read a thought with an ease, therefore, caricature has been a kind of humor which is always been interested in. Until recently, humor journals and newspaper had been among pioneering sources that people could find caricatures in. However, with the usage of internet that has been started since the last decade of twentieth century, people can easily access to information; thereby, an opportunity has been risen for more diversified demographic group of people to get interacted with caricature closely. Nowadays, internet of which effect is gradually increasing, can get many people involved and play a key role, has created an environment for people to express themselves as individuals by providing opportunities. It is also seen that with the social media channels that have been emerged since the first years of twentieth century, internet users have created their own humor contents. In this study, as development of specific fields such as humour and caricature, is examined, with social media inclusion in daily lives, new types of humours are discovered as well as adaptation of the caricature to this process and the changes over humour with influences of social media are investigated further.
