Evaluation of performance of Turkey Coal Enterprises between 1998-2007

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of Turkey Coal Enterprises between 1998-2007.The main purpose of the enterprises are to make gain of their actions, expend and provide continuity. The enterprises need performance measurement to protect their activities in the market, make future decisions and analyse their immediate conditions. Performance measurement does not reap benefit just to enterprises but also employee and employer. Performance measurement provides managers to be careful and view the process, provides a fair ambience for employees to develop themselves and meet their need of to be recognized and known.Only measurement of profit in the enterprises is not adequate in case of evaluation of performance. It is necessary to evaluate all measurable performance dimensions. In thesis, the performance concept has been introduced, the dimensions of performance have been explained, and the enterprise has been evaluated in case of measurable performance dimensions between 1998-2007. Results and suggestions have been submitted.
