Abstract (EN)
Whether national or global qualified, the experienced Economic crisis may effect banking sector and the reel sector both. Researching the effects of the development of bank credits and the change of credit volume on economy within the process of national economic crisis in Turkey occured in November 2000 and February 2001 and the globol financial crisis took place in 2008; carries importance about understanding the political precautions on possible economic crisis may occur in the future. The risks encountered in banking sector, the concept of credit and risk, and the credit-risk management are primarily investigated in this research by discussing Turkish banking system and the structure of the credits in it. The characteristics of the economic crises occured between 2000-2012 and how the Turkish Banking sector is affected by these crises is emphisized; and also the evolution of credit volume in Turkish Banking sector and the general view of the banking sector in the period of 2000-2012 is investigated. In the final section of this research; the effects of bank credits on macroeconomic variables such as economic growth, interest rate, inflation, current deficit, exchange rate, employement and unemployement are studied and the correlation analysis of these variables and credit ratio is examined.
