Determination of instructional technologies used in theses published in the field of mathematics and science education in Turkey: A content analysis study

Abstract (EN)

It is seen that nowadays the technological developments are closely related to education as all the areas. So in our country the teaching technologies between 2010 and 2019 in the field of mathematics and sciences that used in post graduate theses were analyzed. In this context the current study was conducted through 318 accessible post graduate theses. This study was designed qualitative and content analysis method was used. Thesis thematic structure examination form was used in the examination of the thesis. While analyzing context, the theses were examined that realized in terms of variables such as dates of the reviewed theses, level of theses, method of the theses, thesis pattern, sample type, sample size, sample level, research time, data collection tools, data analysis method. Also the technology used in these theses, variables affecting the technology were examined up to categories. In the result of the research it was seen that master theses constitute most of the theses. In recent years mixed method studies have increased. Also achievement test attitude scale, the meeting are preferred common as data collection tool. In theses it can be mentioned that the sample group level is constituted by the secondary school students and easily accessable sample selection method is preferred frequently. In addition to these in data analyses t-test and content analysis are used friendly. Their research time is between 1 to 4 weeks. In our country the general technology used in theses are multimedia applications and sen supported applications. Variables are attitude and academic success. And these technologies are very effective on academic success and positive attitude towards lessons.
