The role and application areas of media Arabic in Arabic language education in Turkey

Arabic, which is the official language of 22 Arab countries and accepted as the sixth official language by the United Nations in 1974 due to the size of its international role, has an important place in the world. In our country, its importance has been increasing day by day especially in recent years. The aim of this study is to reveal the place and application areas of Media Arabic that is the common communication language of the Arab world in the field of Arabic teaching in our country. Moreover, it is aimed to draw attention to the characteristic structure of Media Arabic and the methods used in education. In the study; research, questionnaire and interview methods have been used. Moreover, the textbooks used in education are introduced and the methods they used are examined. The study consists of four sections. In the first section, the concept of media in general and the types of media organs are discussed. In the second section, the features of Media Arabic and its role in Arabic learning in Turkey are discussed. In the third section, the materials and techniques used are examined. In the last part of the study, the results of the questionnaire applied to the expert teachers who give education in the field of Media Arabic are evaluated and suggestions are presented.
