National bourgeoisie in Turkey: Single-Party era

Bourgeoisie, which emerged in Western societies within a process of natural selection, was aimed to be formed in Turkey as a project within the Turkish History of Economics in the context of the National Economy Policy of the Union and Progress Party. This is why the designed class was considered to be a National one. WWI provided an environment of opportunity for the members of the Party, but this project was put on hold at least until the process of National Struggle by the end of the Ottoman Empire. After the National Struggle ended in victory, the National Economy Policies of the Party's elite were continued in the Single-Party era. Therefore, in this sense, it was aimed to form a National Bourgeoisie within the economic systematic of the Single-Party era. Reasons such as lack of capital and the Economic Depression of 1929 prevented the emergence of a National Bourgeoisie with its designed form, that is, with a strong accumulation of capital. However, at this point, WWII created an environment of opportunity for a National Bourgeoisie. The actors of the period provided capital accumulations with momentum with the black-market activities they carried out. Nevertheless, with these activities they carried out, they received reactions from both the public and the CHP, which was the ruling party of the period. After the war, in the scope of the necessitated convergence between Turkey and the USA due to the threat of the USSR, liberal policies in Turkey continued to be openly practiced. This situation continued until the time the CHP was replaced by the DP in the government. As a result, National Bourgeoisie was also strengthened in this process, and therefore, the National Bourgeoisie that had been aimed since the late periods of the Ottoman Empire found itself a place within the economic policies of the Single-Party era.
