Abstract (EN)
Relations between Turkey and Egypt have gone through different stages during the period of the Democratic Party's rule, from the establishment of the new Turkish state to the establishment of the Decadent state. Having successfully concluded the National Struggle, the new Turkish state has established itself in the international arena. At the same time, Egypt has been fighting for independence against the United Kingdom. Egypt's struggle for full independence against Britain lasted until 1936. This situation has been closely followed in the Turkish press. Relations between Turkey and Egypt went through many different stages during the reign of Ataturk after the declamation of the Republic.During this period, it dec observed that close relations between the two countries have not been achieved. Between 1939 and 1950, Turkey, under the leadership of Ismet Inönü, dec not actually participate in the Second World War. On the other hand, fierce struggles took place in the face of the Axis invasion on the territory of Egypt. The Turkish press has described these struggles in detail to its readers. İn 1950, there was a change of power in Turkey. During the period leading up to the coming to power of the Democratic Party and the Free Officers coup, Turkey's Middle East position and its inclusion in NATO created the impression of a pro-Western policy. This situation has led to the development of dec relations between Turkey and Egypt. It is also seen in the news reported in the Turkish press. In this thesis study, the agenda of the political developments between Turkey and Egypt, as well as social and economic relations reflected in the Turkish press, was tried to be deconstructed in an objective way.
