Abstract (EN)

It is observed that the workload of professional accountants, working under worsening working conditions, has increased today. Professional accountants state that they have to deal with a new chore all the time. It is thought that professional accountants spare less time for themselves, their families or their social environment outside of work, and their working hours have increased. In this study, the work – life balance of professional accountants was examined and its relationship with life satisfaction was analyzed. The data of the research was obtained by the survey method. The questionnaire consists of socio-demographic questions, work – life balance scale and life satisfaction scale, and it was applied to professional accountants working actively in Turkey. 569 professional accountants participated in the study and the research data were tested with independent sample t-test, one-way anova test, pearson correlation and multiple regression methods. The relationships between socio-demographic factors, work – life balance and life satisfaction were examined separately. As a result of the analyzes, there is a significant positive correlation between work – life balance, together with its sub-factors, and life satisfaction.
