When considering Turkey's energy resources and diversity, it is observed that day by day dependence on foreign resource has been increased. In Turkey, by the effect of growth industrialisation, technological infrastructure, nuclear energy is considered as an alternative option to provide energy need and ensuring security. The aim of this study is to determine the place of nuclear energy in sustainable development and to evaluate the steps to create a nuclear energy culture. To determine the option strategy for Turkey's nuclear energy choice, a survey was conducted to reveal the economic and social security approaches of the public. According to the results of the study, when the social and economic security parameters related to nuclear energy are taken into consideration, it is seen that the public has has a negative attitude.
