Abstract (EN)
This study examines the relationships between deforestation and environmental quality by testing the Forest Ecosystem Load Capacity Curve (FSTLCC) Hypothesis in Turkey using the ARDL model. The dynamic relationships between variables such as human capital, renewable energy, non-renewable energy, and environmental footprint (FSTLCF) are analyzed. Various studies in the literature have been reviewed, and findings supporting this hypothesis have been obtained. Using the ARDL model and Granger causality tests, the long-term and short-term relationships and causality among the variables are evaluated. The study employs traditional unit root tests, unit root tests with breaks, and Fourier terms. Initially, information about environmental quality is provided, followed by technical details about the tests to be used. Subsequently, the application part is carried out, where the ARDL and Granger tests are applied to the model.
