0.4 Summary The purpose of this study is to explore the issue of according to which factors aggressive behaviors shown in the field change during the games in the 2001-2002 Season of Turkish Professional Premier Division. To serve this purpose, the statistics of 306 games played by the 18 teams of Turkish Premier Division in the 2001-2002 Season (scores, the number of yellow and red cards, the time of bookings during the game the distribution of cards between the home and visitor teams) are analysed. The research demonstrates that there is a meaningful difference in the followings; the level of aggressive behaviors between the home and the visitor teams, between the winning and the losing teams, between the top-ranking and mid-ranking teams in the standing, and between aggressive behaviors shown in the first half and second half of the games, between in the first period and second period of the season. The research also shows that there is no a meaningful difference between the level of aggression for the games ended in a tie and winner or defeated team, between the top-ranking and low- ranking teams, and between the mid-ranking and low-ranking teams in the standing.
