Restorastion works in Turkey and investigation of restoration businesses,

Restoration is emerged in Europe and is a method that has an important function oftransfering the historical inheritances to the next generations. In the first part of this thesis,definition of restoration, history of restoration, evaluation criterias of cultural wealths,determination of breakdown of cultural wealths and the kinds of works has to be done beforerestoration topics arae analysed.We investigate the restoration works in Turkey strating form the Republic period. Theauthorized institutions related to restoration has been introduced. Legal arrangements relatedwith protection and protectionism (laws, rules, regulations and directives) about restorationhas been explained. The law of Protection of Natural Wealths and Culture also is given thesecond part.In the third part, the restoration of business has been analysed. The information aboutsmall and medium sized restoration businesses and their human resources are presented in thispart.The problems of restoration businesses and restoration sector has been investigated inthe part four.The human resources at restoration businesses and education of the personel relatedquestionnaire and their results are presented in the part five.In the last section, the suggestions relating to the restoration business techniques andconclusion is given.Key Words: Restoration, Protection, Culture Wealths, Restoration Businesses
