Investigation of mihrabs of mosques in Ankara and its surroundings in terms of writing and ornamentation during the Turkish Seljuk period

Except for the Ahi Şerafettin Mosque mihrab, which is among the mosque mihrabs belonging to the Seljuk Period of Turkey in Ankara, the other plaster mihrabs are a unique development by separating them from Iranian examples they have shown. These mihrabs can be dealt with separately and comprehensively. Seljuk there is no study that determines the construction dates of the mosque mihrabs in Ankara and gives detailed information about these mihrabs. In the studies carried out, there are different opinions on the construction dates of the mihrabs. Our goal is to eliminate this problem, to eliminate the deficiency and to contribute to Islamic art. While eliminating this problem and deficiency, field work was carried out with the method of evidence. In this study, a total of 10 mosque mihrabs belonging to the Seljuk period of Turkey in Ankara and its surroundings were discussed. Only 5 of these mosques have survived to the present day. The other 3 were demolished, 2 of them were demolished and a mosque was built in other periods.
