Analysis of curriculum in the social work departments in Turkey

"Social" concept refers to relationships of individuals and groups with other individuals and groups, such as education, economy, politics, religion, communication in the context of basic social institutions. "Work" concept highlights that made activities are performed in order and discipline and a sense of responsibility. "Social work" also is emerged, in recent history, by combining these two concepts as a profession and a science / discipline. Thus, it has started an organization, instead of helping people in their philanthropy framework, that this organization includes plan, theory and methods of application. Therefore, they have been providing social work education. Social work department in Turkey was established, for the first time, depending on the Hacettepe University and for many years, it has been trained under a single roof section. However, especially in the last 10 years, together with the social work department opened that the number of department that social work education has increased. In this context, studies, two aspects are considered, the historical process of social work education in the world and in Turkey and its relationship with other branches of science that fed the social curriculum. In Turkey, as in the period 2015-2016, there are 37 social work departments. These departments provide training to students. Moving data from the internet, 35 university lesson plans and 33 university course contents were examined. The course content accessible over the internet have been classified considering occur close to each other or different. It has been identified as topics of the lectures. Which of course also given many hours and which were examined given period. When the study has been encountered that, in department, different courses are taught (and in different periods with different credit). Between departments, not a union, have seen gaps.
