Agricultural finance problem and solution proposals in Turkish agricultural policies: The case of Çorum

This study examined the agricultural policies through the financing issue, which has an important place in Turkey's agricultural policies, and investigated the financing problems in agricultural enterprises and produced solutions in the light of these data. The data of the study were obtained by face to face or digital survey method with 405 agricultural enterprises throughout the province of Çorum. In addition, the satisfaction levels of business owners were measured with Likert type questions.İn this study, the subject of agricultural financing in Turkey has been explained from the past to the present, the applied methods have been mentioned, the problems of agricultural enterprises have been researched, and solutions have been offered to benefit the development of our country's agricultural sector. In this study, it was seen that businesses complained about the following issues: file fee, commission, insurance, etc. costs, interest rates, government supports, procedural excess, unnecessary document demand, excessive collateral demand,lack of alternative products,loan-duration mismatches. Financing problems should be minimized by the public to sustain agriculture. In this context, to minimize the above-mentioned problems, our main suggestions are the allocation of dynamic limit loans, the introduction of artificial intelligence applications and user-friendly financing products, and the orientation of all financial actors to this sector, and their implementation is important for the future of the sector.
