Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the terms of gender mainstreaming was analyzed with the term of patriarchy. In first chapter, the terms of gender mainstreaming that is basis of this thesis, has been defined as generally and after has been discussed with the Republic of Turkey patriarchy and the terms of "relationships" , "religion", "sexuality" that is basis of patriarchy, as subtitle. In addition, the effects of social changes in Turkey since 1950 to the Republic of Turkey's patriarchy have been analyzed because of thesis subject have included art after 1960's. In second chapter, the effects of gender roles in Turkey to women artists have been analyzed. In third chapter, art movements and social changes that has built base of art actual have been discussed. Within this context, the processes of art movements and social changes from 1960 to recent have been examined. The fourth chapter including short information about the women artists that work about the thesis subject and a short analysis of artwork has been built on the subtitles "identity" and "power". The artists that have been included with short information have been chosen because of their works relation with the thesis subject. The last chapter of thesis has been included the artworks that has been made about thesis subject. 7 groups of artworks that analyzes issues of women' in social living and the development of mental, have been explained with short texts. As a result of thesis, similarities of women artists' artworks have been examined as conceptual and as formal. Instead of analysis techniques of art history, the women artists' sense of art and artworks should be analyzed as conceptual.
