The lexicon related to the conceptual field of death in Turkish dialects

In a language, it is natural that there may be differences in speech between speakers of the language in the same place and time period. Morphological differences, as well as phonetic differences, variations of vocabulary and even syntactic differences in some cases form dialects. Dialects are forms of speech that are more or less different from each other when compared to written language, and dialects survive in smaller settlements of the geography where a parent language is spoken. Until this time, many researches and studies have been carried out on the dialects whose dialectological awareness started to emerge about a century ago. Among these studies, in which compilation activities are common, the number of dialect studies on an independent subject is quite few. In this study, which was prepared in order to contribute to fill this deficiency and based on the death theme, the current vocabulary related to death, which has been used in Turkey Turkish dialects in the recent historical process or is currently being used, has been compiled. The original form of the vocabulary elements, compiled on the basis of existing studies, are adhered to and classified under the relevant headings. Among the vocabulary elements in the study, the origin information of the words and word groups given as subtitle item are researched and their development in the historical process are taken into account, and their definition and explanation are made in this direction and also later the relevant contexts obtained from the dialect studies are presented in alphabetical order.
