Abstract (EN)
This research investigates Turkey Turkish words of Persian origin. Persian and Turkish are two languages that have been interrelated and interacting during past centuries. Persian, in the contemporary geography of Turkey, after Arabic as the most important languages of the Islamic world has been used for many years and attracted attentions. To date, many studies on the interactions of Turkish and Persian literature have been conducted. However, among them, the studies specifically on the interaction of Turkish and Persian languages are still insufficient. In fact, in today's Turkish there are more than three thousand words of Persian origin. When other derived words including idioms and proverbs from these main words are taken into consideration, this number exceeds six thousand words. Likewise, there are many Turkish origin words in Persian. Some words of Persian origin have been treated as a word of Turkish origin and hundreds of words, structures and idioms are derived from these words with the application of various Turkish and Persian suffixes. For example, from the words "can" (life) "ateş" (fire), "para" (money), "yaban" (wild) and "zor" (hard) respectively 200, 90, 100, 80 and 50 new words are derived. The research shows that a significant portion of the Persian-origin words used in Turkish have undergone a change of pronunciation, structure and meaning as a result of interaction so that sometimes they have acquired new meanings that are never used in Persian and have established different structures. In this research, the words of Persian origin in Turkey Turkish have been studied for their structure, pronunciation, meanings and types with their usage field and usage pattern.
