Özet (EN)

This study is composed of three chapters. In the first chapter, the description of predicate with its structure and characteristics is represented. Words (noun, adjective, pronoun etc.) that can be predicate are examined one by one. Besides, the types of predicate are studied.In the second chapter, the state of predicate is evaluated based on the types of sentences. The sentences based on the types of predicate, namely noun and verb sentences; the ones based on the place of predicate, namely regular and inverted sentences; the ones based on their structure, namely simple, compound, complex, complicated and sub-sentences and finally the ones based on their meanings namely positive, negative and interrogative sentences are all studied as parts of this chapter.In the last chapter, subject-predicate compliance is studied.Key Words: Sentence, elements of sentence, predicate, subject-predicate compliance.
