The historical origins of the nationalist left in Turkey: 1932?1971

In this study, the general lines were drawn primarily from the early years of the republic and why the social movements in Turkey couldn?t improve had been examined. The team later left the movement in the nationalist trend starting with te Kadro Movement, Yön and maintained by the Milli Demokratik Devrim of the line put forward by the ruling left-nationalist strategies and different resources that feed these trends were examined.Kadro Movement which had reached a concrete view of staff movement by the year 1932 and also had taken the task of nationalist leftist movement with in the single party era. However, the actions of Yön and MDD after 1960 hard tend to seize the power of the goverment while they were forming all these, they had taken inspiration from firstly the war of Independence with the leadership of Atatürk and like China, Cuba which had revolutions. And also the other common points of these movements is to be appropriate fort he country that the revolution will be set up. Türkiye İşçi Partisi had also very important place in the left side and was mentioned in this study.In the first part of the study, defining the concept of ideology, left-right and the ideologies which are in the left side determined briefly and discussed the effect of Marxism in the Turkish leftside movements. After telling the Turks left movements, in the last chapter, Turkey?s left nationalist ideologies were discussed. The mentioned movements between 1932-1971, social classes opinions, the relation with te Kemalism and how to set up relations with the determined direction to follow are presented in the last part of the thesis.
