Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to investigate studies conducted in the field of education of gifted children. Document review analysis method, which is one of quantitative methods, was used in this study. The scope of the study consists of thesis, dissertations, scientific articles and books on education of gifted children. The data of the study is collected from YOK online thesis center, articles in the ULAKBIM database, university libraries and some online search engines. The collected data is interpreted according to its frequency and percentage. According to results, proceedings have the highest percentage while dissertations have the lowest percentage. It is found that the highest number of master's thesis is within the years of 2007 and 2010. The highest number of doctoral dissertations is in the year of 2012. The most scientific articles are published in the years of 2004 and 2013. 241 of the articles are published after 2003. It is also found that the highest number of proceedings is in 2012. 510 of proceedings are published after 2003. 13 books, which is the highest number, are published in 2010. The highest number of master's thesis (26) and doctoral dissertations (13) are written at Istanbul University. The purpose of most of the master's thesis (%46.56) are to determine the current situation while doctoral dissertations' (%44.44) purpose is education of gifted children.
