Social pollicies aimed at the socio- economic problems of Syrian refugees living in Turkey: The Kocaeli case

The political, economic and social problems seen in the various Arab states in recent years have led to a change in the rule of the country and a strengthening of the society's consciousness and the common act of the people. The Arab Spring is regarded as the greatest event of the 21st century. Started on December 17, 2010 and spread to the Middle East countries. Syria was included in the Arab Spring on March 15th, 2011, and this was the worst living country in the world. Arab Spring, which lived in Syria, turned into a form of civil war and was met with very heavy losses. As a result of the ongoing civil war in Syria, it has been forced to abandon more than one Syrian state. While this migration was made to various countries, the biggest migration wave was on Turkey. As of 2017, 29,230 people of Syrians who took refuge in Turkey are living their lives in Kocaeli. In this study, the social policies of the asylum seekers living in the local government of Kocaeli province and the applications of these policies have been researched. In the first chapter, immigration and social policies are handled under the conceptual framework title. In the second part, immigration and Syrian asylum seeker problems in the world and Turkey are examined. In the third part, social policies for the solution of asylum seekers' socio-economic problems of Syrian asylum-seekers living in Turkey are examined in Kocaeli example.
