Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this thesis is to shed light on the migration process of the Pomaks who settled in Turkey. For this purpose, the thesis is constructed in three main chapters. In the first chapter, Turkish histography, and the histography of other nations about Pomaks will be evaluated. In the second chapter of the thesis, the migration process of the Pomaks, which started following the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War and continuing on with the Balkan Wars, will be assessed. In the third and final chapter, the migration of the Pomaks, which happened with the population exchange via the Lausanne Treaty and their later migrations during the 1950s towards The Republic of Turkey will be analyzed.
