Abstract (EN)

In this study, ITS, ITS2 and trnH, psbA gene regions of commercial lettuce cultivars "Parris island, Leaf Green, Butterhead, Lollorosso, Yedikule, Endiven, Bejo, Maritima" and wild lettuce (Lactuca virosa L.) from the NCBI gene bank were compared to reveal their relatedness. According to the results, ITS, ITS2 and trnH-psbA 1213bp sequences of 8 lettuce varieties were obtained and identified. In addition, the code names and all codon position ratios of these cultivars were determined. Besides, the phylogenetic relationships of the cultivars were determined by making the pedigrees of the cultivars whose sequences were obtained. Maritima was the closest related variety to wild species, while Parris Island was determined to be the outermost relative to the ancestor species and other varieties. On the other hand, it has been determined that the species limit varies between 0.1-0.9% in the studied cultivars.
