Abstract (EN)
The research was carried out at the rangelands of Türkmen Mountain that located within the borders of Eskişehir Kütahya provinces. Ecological site description and rangeland health classification of 22 different rangelands, which could represent Turkmen Mountain Rangeland, were defined. Mapping was completed by using 17 different indicators of ecological site description and rangeland health class data. The indicators used were interpreted separately, and the indicators affecting vegetation, soil and hydrological characteristics were grouped and evaluated. It was determined that rangeland management improvement have crucial importance to improve vegetation, soil, and hydrological characteristics by preserving the current situation for the areas in very good, good, medium, weak and very weak conditions . In addition, it was pointed out that there is a need to develop applications to determine the effects of rangeland management practices and to monitor rangelands.
