Abstract (EN)

Concrete has an important place in the development of human history and in the works of the ancient civilizations as far as the day-to-day work is concerned. Concrete, which has a wide use area today, has become the most consumed material in the world after water. Although high strength concrete is considered as a new material, it has been developing for many years. High Strength Concretes are expensive because they require very versatile quality control. They can not take the place of classical normal concretes completely, but their use areas will expand as the problems of high strength concretes are solved. High strength concrete will be sought and used especially when sustainable durability is more important. In this study, the effect of the fly ash and silica fume additives on the durability properties such as corrosion, freeze and thaawing effect and steel reinforcement corrosion will be experimentally investined to improve the older performance of high strength concrete. Thus, the concrete design can be optimized by improving the older age performance of the high strength concrete mixture. As a result of this thesis; it was seen that the mineral admixtures added to the high strength concretes had a negative effect on the early ages and positive ages on the aged ages. In the study, all mineral admixtures added at 5-10-15% of concrete showed better wear and freeze-thaw resistance than reference concrete. In addition, the addition of silica fume to the concrete mixture at optimum ratios (between 5-10%) increased the corrosion resistance.
