Change management of third generation universities: A qualitative research on a foundation university

In this study, management concept of third generation university type entrepreneur university concept which is a new structuring of higher education is emphasized. Entrepreneurial university is a multi-layered structure that provides direct transfer of technology and scientific knowledge from academia to industry sector through technology transfer offices, university-based technoparks and establishes indirect connections with entrepreneurship education and industry sector. The entrepreneurial university pursues its three traditional roles (education, research and community service) with a new approach. This means that in addition to training and research, the enterprise entrepreneurial university's technology transfer centers value research-based management. Similarly, entrepreneurial universities, as a response to the rapidly changing business world, are graduates who are capable of finding solutions to the increasingly complex problems facing the business world in the global era. The target audience of the third generation university is the industrial sector and the business world. In this study, a foundation university model that has successfully existed in our country is presented. The sub-dimensions consist of the evaluation of the existing campus facilities, academic and administrative management, the state dimension, the financial dimension, educational activities, cooperation with the sector (commercialization). Face-to-face interviews were conducted to explain and evaluate the model. In the evaluations, the university model was found to be successful and it was stated that the targeted model could be developed with support and studies.
