Abstract (EN)
Firefighting is a combined work carried out by the public institution of the municipalities, where all kinds of fire, earthquake, traffic accidents, landslides, dents, dangerous chemicals, suicide cases, floods and floods, chimney cleaning, all kinds of underwater and surface search and rescue activities are carried out. Fire brigades intervene in a wide variety of incidents according to the geographical and physical conditions of the region they serve. Revision of the developing world with industrial and technological innovations brings with it new challenges. The construction of high-rise buildings and innovations in industry and technology bring about the implementation of new intervention forms. Versatile response differences bring about a wide variety of firefighting equipment. Fire brigades are one of the most risky and dangerous occupational groups due to their different mission risks. There are great risks in terms of occupational health and safety in an organization that intervenes in such multifaceted events. The probability of personnel encountering these risks in a different public institution is much lower than that of firefighters. Fire brigades serving under local governments differ from each other according to geographical regions in our country, as well as provincial, district or metropolitan fire brigades. In order to evaluate the firefighting profession in terms of occupational health and safety in our country, in order to carry out our study fully and to obtain correct results, the demographic structure of the firefighters in the district, province and metropolitan areas, a view of the general occupational health and safety and safety culture in the fire brigade, personal protective equipment (PPE) ) and its use, fire emergency awareness of fire personnel and burnout level of fire personnel, a survey study was conducted to obtain data. For this reason, a survey was conducted with 301 personnel from Sungurlu District Fire Department, Çorum Municipality Fire Department and İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department.
