Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research was to examine the role of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and the Ministry of National Education Pre-School Program on students' creativity. In the study, for IB PYP "PYP From Principles to Practice", "Scope and Sequence" and "Program Standards and Practices" and for MoNE "MEB Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programı" documents were analyzed by content analysis method. The four elements of the program which are learning outcomes, curriculum content, learning experiences, curriculum evaluation, and educational philosophy should be considered for analyzing the development of creativity. It was examined how these four elements develop and support creativity within the program. Using the document analysis method, the program elements, and educational philosophies of both the IB PYP and MoNEP were initially evaluated. Subsequently, the focus was placed on assessing the dimensions of these programs in terms of supporting creativity. The findings revealed notable distinctions between the two programs in their approaches to fostering and enhancing creativity. Lastly, according to research findings, it has been observed that IB PYP, being an international and transdisciplinary program, creates more environment for supporting students' creativity within the program.
