International industrial purchasing and a research on Turkish companies importing sports products in China

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the factors affecting the purchasing process at international level. For this purpose, the questionnaire forms were analyzed in order to determine the supplier selection systems and decisions of the participants. It was applied to 392 people working in effective positions (titles) in 89 companies importing from China in Istanbul. The data obtained from the survey were analyzed with SPSS 21.0 package program. In the research, Exploratory Factor Analysis and Independent Sample T-Test were used to determine effective performance criteria in the international industrial procurement process. As a result of analysis; In the international procurement process, whether the factors related to supplier selection and decisions differ according to gender has been examined and it is concluded that women and men pay attention to all factors at the same level.According to this result, the Turkish companies in Istanbul in the purchasing process of the selection, decision-making position of male or female managers, supplier experience, order management, R & D studies, payment terms, price and quality balance, delivery, business volume, packaging and communication dimensions at the same level.
