Özet (EN)
This study is aimed to explore the reasons for the emergence of non-governmental organizations established by immigrants living in Turkey with temporary protection or international protection status, the services they provide, which services or activities they carry out, the difficulties and conveniences faced, the motivations and expectations of the members. The research was carried out through qualitative research methods. In-depth interviews were conducted with 32 individuals who have international migration experience, and who work in different non-governmental organizations as chairman, member, and volunteer. The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed using the MAQODA 2020 package program and various findings emerged from the data. According to the result, it can be said that the services provided by public institutions and organizations in Turkey for individuals with international migration experience are implemented by non-governmental organizations established by immigrant groups or they act as a bridge in reaching the services provided to the individuals. Moreover, it has been stated that non-governmental organizations established by immigrant groups carry out services or activities for people with disabilities, especially children and women, and the activities of these organizations the participants are members of have mostly stopped during the epidemic based on the statements of individuals with international migration experience interviewed. In addition, it has been revealed that personal hygiene support, educational support, counseling, and guidance support were provided during the epidemic period. It has been determined that individuals with international migration experience mostly consult non-governmental organizations because they have problems in terms of rights and services such as identity/registration, accommodation/residence, language, health, and employment. Furthermore, it has been seen that non-governmental organizations provide services in various fields, especially consultancy and guidance. On the other hand, non-governmental organizations, which have an important role in the provision of services included in legal texts and applied for different social problems, face various difficulties, especially financial and administrative. Within the research, the people who was interwieved expressed that during the pandemic, even though they discontinued their NGO's, they still had hygiene, education and consultancy support.
