Abstract (EN)
Western countries tend to adopt the understanding of full security as a result of heavy destruction brought by the Second World War. In this period when the idea of ensuring security without war in international relations became prominent and security was tried to be created by a series of methods. These methods include cooperative issues such as economic, cultural and social cooperation. However, although methods other than the military option reduce the possibility of a hot conflict, they are not enough to shape the hostile countries. The main purpose of this thesis is to explain how developed countries use proxy warfare and hybrid operation methods in order to shape the hostile countries with the least cost. International results of these methods used by the great powers have emerged. Keywords: Proxy War, Hybrid Operation, Security, Syria, Traditional War, New War, Rear Area Security
