Concept of the terror in the international system: The case of Boko Haram in Africa

Boko Haram is a religious discourse terrorist organization that emerged in Nigeria in 2002. It has affected many North African countries, especially Nigeria, with its actions. The organization's first aim was to establish social security in peaceful activities, one of the other aim was reducing the poverty and find solutions for the unemployment. Even if the organzation took actions through these aims at the beginning. Later on, it emphasised that Western education is forbidden, and by increasing its acts of violence together with its new leaders who have executive power on the organization by the time, attacking mosques, banks and important areas has turned into a terrorist organization which kidnapped women and girls and led the country into a deadlock. In this study, the emergence of Boko Haram terrorist organization, its actions and relations with other organizations will be explained. As a result, it will be studied whether it is a predecessor jihadist organization like ISIS or a predecessor-defensive organization like the Muslim Brotherhood and initiated its actions in the near to geography or in the far from geography. In addition, the extent of the damage done to the Nigerian government, the relation of the USA, China, the UN and Turkey with Nigeria views on Boko Haram will be examined.
