The aim of this thesis is to define the concept of terrorism which is not defined by experts in nowadays, to study the properties of terrorism and elements of terrorism which is the most important problem in this period, to give a general perspective about terrorism while sorting causes of terrorism in order to solve the problem. In the second part of this thesis, types of terrorism are classified according to purposes and implementation area and it is aimed to give an overview of international terrorism which is currently rising threat over the global community. In this study, especially in the third part, the terrorist organisations of ASALA and PKK will be studied. The establishments, goals, actions of these two terrorist organisations and the economic, political and military support to them will be examined. ASALA has operated and solved in Turkey. However, PKK is still active and operating in Turkey. In this context, my argument is that both of these terrorist organisations are international terrorist organisations as the review of examples display.
