Investment of university students' general well-being, career stress and general self-efficacy

Aim of this study was investigate the relationships between career stress, general self-effiacy and general well being; examine the predictive role of career stress and general self efficacy on their general well being. The study group consisted of 562 students that attending Anadolu Universitiy's different faculties in the spring term of 2023-2024 academic year. The General Well Being Scales, The Career Stress Scale, The General Self Efficacy Scale and Personal Information Form was used to collect data of the study. Analysis showed that university students career stress and general well being levels varies according to their gender, class level, faculty and general self efficacy levels. According to analysis results woman students, senior year students, Communication Sciences students, students that had lower general self efficacy showed higher career stress scores. A significant difference in the general well-being levels of university students was not be found based on gender, grade level, or faculty of study. Results of the hierarchical regression analysis showed that university students' general self efficacy and lacking information and career ambiguiyt that was a sub-scale of career stress scale meaningful predictives of their general well being. On the other hand university students' level of external conflict and employment pressure was not a meaningful predictive of general well being.
